Can I bike around Walt Disney World?

We’re going to the World next month, and this will be my first trip there. We are camping at Fort Wilderness, and bringing bicycles. I know there are bike paths in the campground, but is it at all possible to travel around Disney World by bike, e.g. bike from the campground to the Animal Kingdom? The distance isn’t a problem, more the size and safety of the roads. Thanks!
